- Active Sound - App

Attention: this Active-Sound-App only works in combination with our Active-Sound Technology Set of the most recent generation (with BT-Smart integrated). These all-in-one sets can be found here.

insidePerformance Active Sound Technology for BMW (IP-AST) offers perfect and individual sound for all BMW diesel cars.

The sound (volume, sound, engine start sound and much more) can be configured and adjusted via your OEM buttons and levers if your car (in example the cruise-control lever / button) or also via our free app (currently only available for iPhone - but shortly maybe also for Andoid)

Of course you must have installed our Active-Sound-System in your car first.

Update: The system has been updated and now works with a new app. This app is available at the Apple App-Store (IOS) and Google Play-Store (Android) for free. Just search for "MAXHAUST" there and install the new app.

The manual for this new app is integrated into the app itself.

The following information and instructions belongs to the old previous app:

Our App does not use WLAN / Wifi or WLAN Gateways / Accesspoints. It uses BT-Smart which has the advantage that you do not need to connect your smartphone manually every time via your WLAN settings. The app will connect automatically every time you are near your car and the ignition is on (and the app runs).

You can configure your Active Sound System via this app very easily:

• Volume
• Idle Sound and Frequency
• General Sound / Frequency during driving
• Engine sound during startup

All settings can be saved in up to 5 different profiles. So you can generate one discreetly profile, one sporty profile, one all-day-drive profile and one profile where the system is turned off, in example.

You can select within the app settings how you want to change / select between these profiles. Different options are available depending on the car and model.

For example profile change can be done..

• via App
• via DSC-Button in your BMW
• via Profil-Change-Button in your BMW (AST-Profiles are linked to your OEM BMW profiles in your car (Eco / Comfort / Normal / Sport / Sport+) and the soundprofiles automatically change if you change your car profile via the OEM button next to the gearshaft

Furthermore the app offers a demo-mode. In this mode, the AST can be activated generate the sound without having the engine running.

This is perfect to demonstrate the system or do customize the settings without running the car. Even giving gas / acceleration can be simulated via the app demo mode manually
